Craig studied at the High School of Glasgow and then at Glasgow University where he attained his BDS degree and Final Year prizes in Orthodontics, Restorative Dentistry and Final Year Prize from the Royal Odontological Society. On graduation, Craig started in Dental practice and this helped him fund his future study of Orthodontics In the US. The decision to study "across the Pond" was driven by his desire to be able to deliver aesthetic and cosmetic treatment of the highest standard to his patients . Consequently he studied at the University of Washington in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, gaining his Diploma in Dento-facial Orthopaedics and Orthodontics and subsequently the Doctorate in Dental Science(Orthodontics). He returned to the UK and passed the Memberships of both the Royal Colleges of Surgeons in Edinburgh and Glasgow. He is retained currently as an Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.All during this time, Craig worked in a Dental and Orthodontic practice environment in Glasgow when back in the UK. General and Gloucestershire Royal Hospitals Orthodontic Departments before opening his own dedicated Practice in 2002 at Phoenix Orthodontics in Gloucester. Craig subsequently moved to Hamilton where he works with All 1 Smile in Hamilton and East Kilbride Orthodontic Centres.

Imran graduated in dentistry from the University of Glasgow in 2001, completing his vocational training in Newcastle. He worked two further years in general dental practice, and then had a life enhancing year in Australia experiencing private practice, community dentistry and Aboriginal Health Services. Upon his return to the UK, he passed the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons examination from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2006. He completed specialist orthodontic training at Glasgow Dental Hospital and was awarded a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry(Orthodontics) from the University of Glasgow in 2011. This research won two prestigious prizes: the Royal College TC White Lecturer Award and the Royal Society of Medicine Odontology President’s Prize Award. He passed his specialist Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in the same year. He is a MFDS Royal College examiner, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and member of the British Orthodontic Society. Outside of orthodontics Imran tries to keep fit by running, enjoys cooking and is a sci fi geek. GDC registration no 79325

Emma graduated from the University of Dundee in 2002 and worked as a Vocational Trainee in Blairgowrie for a year. Emma then went on to work as a Community Dental Officer in Aberdeen, and then as a Senior House Officer (SHO) in Paediatrics at Dundee Dental Hospital, an Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, Restorative, Oral Medicine and Paediatric SHO in Liverpool and Manchester from 2003-2007. During this time Emma gained her MFDS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh 2004. Emma was awarded her Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2010 following a 3 year postgraduate Masters in Dental Science at Cardiff University. Cardiff University presented Emma with a Distinction for her MScD in 2010.

An orthodontist is a qualified dentist who restricts his/her practice to orthodontics. Dentists require to study dentistry at University for five years prior to qualification and most orthodontists follow this with various specialised hospital- based jobs for a further five years whilst obtaining a Fellowship at one of the Royal Colleges..
